What is CIAM?

CIAM stands for Customer Identity and Access Management. It is a set of technologies and processes that manage customer identities and control their access to applications and services. Unlike workforce IAM, CIAM focuses on providing a seamless and secure experience for external users (customers, partners, etc.) interacting with an organization. Common uses include registration, login, profile management, authentication, authorization, and consent management.
