What is Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH)?

Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) is a certification that validates an individual's skills in identifying vulnerabilities and weaknesses in computer systems, using the same knowledge and tools as malicious hackers, but legally and ethically to assess the security posture of a target system(s). It's commonly used to assess and improve an organization's security defenses, test incident response plans, and identify potential attack vectors before malicious actors can exploit them.
