What is CAMA?

CAMA stands for Centralized Automatic Message Accounting. It's a telecommunications billing system used primarily in North America to automatically record details of long-distance telephone calls, especially those handled by an operator. CAMA records call information such as the calling and called numbers, the duration of the call, and the time of day, which is then used to generate billing records.
