What is Bronchoscopy?

Bronchoscopy is a procedure that allows a doctor to look at your airway through a thin, lighted tube called a bronchoscope. The bronchoscope is passed through your nose or mouth, down your throat, and into your lungs. Bronchoscopy is commonly used to diagnose lung conditions, such as infections, tumors, or bleeding, and to remove foreign objects or mucus plugs from the airways.
