What is BREEAM?

BREEAM (Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Method) is a sustainability assessment method used to masterplan projects, infrastructure and buildings. It recognizes and reflects the value in high performing assets across the built environment lifecycle, from new construction to in-use and refurbishment. BREEAM assesses performance throughout a building's lifecycle in areas such as energy and water use, health and wellbeing, pollution, transport, materials, waste, ecology and management processes.
