What is Azure PIM?

Azure Privileged Identity Management (PIM) is a service in Azure Active Directory (Azure AD) that enables you to manage, control, and monitor access to important resources in your organization. PIM helps minimize the attack surface and reduce the risk of security breaches by providing just-in-time privileged access to Azure AD and Azure resources. It allows users to activate roles only when they need them, with time-bound access, requiring approval in some cases, and generating audit logs to track privileged access.
