What is Automatic Transfer Switches?

An Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS) is a self-acting, intelligent power switching device that automatically transfers a power supply from its primary source to a backup source when it detects a failure or outage in the primary source. Commonly used in emergency power systems, ATS units ensure a continuous and reliable power supply to critical loads, such as data centers, hospitals, and industrial facilities. Once the primary source is restored, the ATS automatically transfers the load back to the primary source.
