What is Apache FOP?

Apache FOP (Formatting Objects Processor) is a print formatter driven by XSL formatting objects (XSL-FO). It is primarily used to transform XML documents into PDF, but can also generate other output formats such as PostScript, PCL, AFP, and various image formats. It's commonly employed in server-side applications for generating reports, invoices, and other document-centric content from XML data.
