What is Akamai Guardicore?

Akamai Guardicore Segmentation (formerly Guardicore Centra) is a data center and cloud security solution that focuses on microsegmentation. It provides visibility into application dependencies and allows organizations to create granular security policies to isolate critical assets, limit lateral movement of threats, and reduce the attack surface. It is commonly used to protect critical infrastructure, sensitive data, and applications by preventing breaches and minimizing the impact of successful attacks. The solution is now part of Akamai's security offerings, following Akamai's acquisition of Guardicore.
