What is ADAPTIV?

ADAPTIV is a technology developed by BAE Systems that enhances the survivability of vehicles by significantly reducing their thermal signature. It utilizes a series of hexagonal plates that can be heated or cooled to match the surrounding environment, effectively camouflaging the vehicle from infrared detection. This allows vehicles to blend into the background, mimicking objects like rocks, trees, or even other vehicles, thus making them harder to target by heat-seeking weapons and surveillance systems.
