What is Access Gateway?

An Access Gateway is a network component that sits in front of one or more servers, applications, or services and controls access to them. It acts as a gatekeeper, authenticating and authorizing users before allowing them to access the protected resources. Access Gateways are commonly used to provide single sign-on (SSO), enforce security policies, and protect web applications from unauthorized access.
